Wolf Blass Visuals
I know I have been promising this for a long time, but finally I have posted some of my more recent design projects that I have been working on.
I know it seems that I favour my illustration, as I always seem to blog about that rather then design, but that really isn’t the case. I tend not to post too much of my design work immediately online, as I generally like to wait until the product/promotion has been fully launched before I do so. Read more »
An update about updates
After officially announcing the launch of rubberpenguin.com about 2 weeks ago, I have had a pretty hectic few weeks drawing new illustrations for the project, as well as working on some new commissions and freelancing full-time as a graphic designer.
It didn’t take long for me to realise that I would struggle to maintain this work pattern for long, as I am having to burn the candle at both ends in order to keep up with everything.
More importantly, something else also hit me whilst working on the project… I hate it! Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying I hate the penguin, as I don’t. It is just more the whole concept and the way I have approached it. Read more »
Rubber Penguin Website
Well, it has been a long time coming (and to be honest it was almost inevitable), though today I can finally confirm the launch of rubberpenguin.com.
People who are familiar with me and my work will probably be aware of Rubber Penguin, though for anyone who has randomly stumbled upon this site you may just be sitting there scratching your heading, wondering what on earth I am talking about. Read more »
Octopus Takeaway
I’ve been working on this illustration for the last couple of weeks and despite it being a bit of a stop-start process, I have finally got it finished.
I originally was hoping to get it finished at the beginning of the month, but due to work commitments and a glorious week spent up in the north of the UK, I had to put this project to one side for a while. Read more »
Update
I know I have been a little slack with blog posts lately, and this is despite my ongoing promise to try and upload my work on a more regular basis.
With my freelance design taking up a lot of my time lately, I haven’t had many opportunities to produce many illustrations of any real quality to show, hence my lack of a presence on the internet. I can assure you though that I have got plenty in the pipeline, just bear with me and I will start working on them in the near future. Read more »
T-Shirt Design
Recently I had decided that I wanted to freshen up my wardrobe and so went in search of some new t-shirts.
I have always been a little fussy when it comes to what t-shirts I wear, not because I am some fashion God who will only wear the likes of Diesel or Ted Baker, but more because I prefer to wear something different and maybe a bit quirky. Read more »

What better way to spice up the first weekend in June, then by posting some of the recent sketches and illustrations that I have been working on… Read more »
Wizarding Wednesday
If any of you aren’t familiar with Timothy Winchester, then you are probably feeling quite concerned for me now, wondering what on earth I would be writing a blog about regarding ‘Wizarding Wednesday’.
For those who don’t know, Timothy is a very talented guy who creates a fantastic daily web comic called People I Know. It involves everything from dinosaurs to monsters and even celebrities such as Lady Gaga, (who could probably fall under the monsters category, right?). Read more »
Right Royal occasion
With most of the UK going Royal Wedding crazy, I have started to see a lot of Will and Kate illustrations and tributes pop up on the internet.
I wanted to do something for the special day as well, but due to work commitments I didn’t have much time to dedicate to it. So I thought about it and produced something which is my own little tribute to the happy couple. I produced a… drunk Corgi. Read more »
Sketches
Over the last few weeks and months I have neglected my previous blog. It is not because I am some kind of sinister fiend, but it is more to do with my expanding workload and my desperation to try and get this site set up before the end of April (which as you can see, I failed at miserably).
I spent most of my free time working on my site and changing my mind about which direction to take it in. This meant that I haven’t been drawing as much as I would have liked, but I have done a few things that I thought I could share with you. Read more »
