Welcome to the personal website for the UK-based freelance designer and illustrator Dan Bailey.
I currently live in Essex, just outside of London, and as well as having a strong passion for design and illustration, I also have an unnerving obsession with peanut butter and gingerbread men.
I am an enthusiastic and passionate individual who has gained over nine years experience within the creative industry, with the last four of those years spent freelancing.
In this time I have had the privilege to work for a variety of agency, in-house and publishing environments, working on some prestigious and diverse brands.
Some of the companies I have worked for include: Anderson Norton, Baber Smith, BD Network, Bezier (formally CRC), Creo-UK, Design House, Hype, Imagination, Inferno, LSE, Mars Y&R, McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd, Mesh Marketing, MRM-Meteorite, Naked Communications, National Geographic Channel, PFC, Rhinegold Publishing, Social UK and RPM.
The brands I have worked on have included: 20th Century Fox, AstraZeneca, Cineworld, Diageo, Disney, Duncan Lewis Solicitors, Homebase, JCC, Landmark, Mars, McDonald’s, Nike, Sara Lee, Sky, The Cotswold Company, Tiger Beer, Toys ‘R’ Us, Umbro, Virgin Media, Warner Bros and Wolf Blass.
Over these years I have been fortunate enough to work on a variety of projects which have included POS, brand identity, marketing, communication and training materials.
Away from design I am a keen illustrator and spend a lot of my free time drawing. I mainly produce vector illustrations and regularly contribute to the image libraries iStock and Getty Images.
Working for these sites has enabled me to earn commissions from clients across the world and it has helped me live out my chidhood dream as an illustrator.
